Based on the Mongan method, HypnoBirthing® is a rewarding childbirth education program for you and your birthing companion. It is focused on relaxation so you are empowered and confident to achieve a serene, natural and satisfying birth.
HypnoBirthing classes are designed to explain the natural process of birth and train you to work with your birthing body to help your childbirth being a calm and positive experience both for you and your baby.
With HypnoBirthing, you learn how your birthing body works and how to use its own natural relaxant.
You learn to dismiss fear-based stories, misinformation, and birthing myths as you get prepared for a beautiful birth.
Therefore you gain confidence to give birth as calmly, safely, and gently as possible, wherever you have chosen to birth (in a hospital, a birthing center, or at home).
In addition, the classes provide you and your birth companion the knowledge and the tools to work together with confidence, as a team.
You, the mother, as well as the person who will accompany you during your childbirth, your “birth companion”. It can be the father or a friend or a close relative.
For the father, the classes provide all the necessary knowledge to feel confident and fully engaged in his partner’s pregnancy and during the birth.
HypnoBirthing classes are delivered in private or small group sessions. It encourages open communication and allows you to receive specific advice for your unique pregnancy.
In a friendly environment, my classes fill your birthing toolkit with the evidence-based techniques of breathing, positive thinking, visualisation, relaxation, self-hypnosis and active birth.
You can start the classes at anytime between the 3rd and 7th months of your pregnancy. Although it is never too late to prepare for a calm and positive birth, I recommend an early start to enjoy the benefits of the course. The sooner, the better !.
Starting early means your baby will benefit from a calm and positive mum, who has had lots of time to practice the techniques learnt in class. With the book, the audio and the handout you will practice regularly until the big day.
If you have any birth-related fear, it is important to start reducing that fear as soon as possible.
For private sessions, the classes are given in the comfort of your own home.
